The funding will be used to deliver an inter-generational befriending programme for elderly isolated Nigerians who have no family in the UK and are becoming increasingly confused and worried by Covid-19. Young people will make at least one doorstep visit a week to chat deliver essential supplies and check on the older persons wellbeing with any concerns reported back to the project co-ordinator for further action. The aim of the project is to ensure socially isolated Nigerian elders have improved health and wellbeing and relationships between the two generations are improved.
