Centrepoint, a national charity that provides services for homeless young people, runs a number of projects across the North East including County Durham. The project in Easington is being run in conjunction with the District Council and will train 20 young people who have experienced homelessness to be peer educators. These young people will work with other young people at risk of homelessness. The 1 year Big Lottery Fund grant will pay for a new full time worker.
