This project is led by Breast Cancer Care (BCC) in partnership with King's College London and the Medical Research Council Social Public Health Science Unit, based at Glasgow University. The research will provide evidence regarding the emotional, social and functional needs of breast cancer survivors, focusing on people from socio-economically disadvantaged and ethnic minority groups. The project will benefit people affected by breast cancer - there are nearly 46,000 new cases a year.
