The Friends of West Bank Park are a voluntary organisation founded in November 1993. They plan to create raised flowerbeds and improve the floor surface in their Breathing Place, which will improve the area for disabled users. Wildlife-friendly shrubs and native bulbs will be used in the raised beds to attract birds, animals and insects. They also plan to hold a series of walks led by local experts on subjects such as mammals, trees and butterflies and create a tree trail with accompanying leaflets.
