The funding will be used to run a restorative drama project supporting people with drug addictions who are in early recovery as well as their family and friends. An experienced drama practitioner/therapist will deliver workshops teaching techniques to assist people in creating a performance piece around their experiences. They will learn coping strategies improve social skills and reintegrate whilst giving back to the community. This project aims to facilitate cognitive change help people to look at their own behaviour including harm they have caused to themselves and others. It will also help them identify the underlying social emotional and psychological motivation for their drug use.
