CROSSROADS CARE EMERGENCY SERVICE; reduce negative impact on Older Carers - Prosiect
Trosolwg o'r prosiect
The funding will support services to support older carers (those aged over 65 years) who live in the London Borough of Richmond. Many of these carers have multiple health conditions often chronic in nature but despite their own failing mobility and/or health needs this group is also caring for someone else. RUTC's offers respite support and outreach projects and with the impact of COVID-19 there is increased demand for services with a waiting list which has doubled over the past 12 months including over 130 Carers waiting for urgent support. RUTCs provides 1:1 respite service within the home giving unpaid carers a vital break from their caring role and allowing them to take time out. Their outreach initiatives include a Caring Caf a new Men Who Care project (for older male carers held at various locations) along with specialist support and advice.
