The funding will launch 6 new intergenerational community music workshop programmes in cultural spaces across Surrey. It will support the mental health and wellbeing of the elder community and Young People. Intergenerational Music Making CIC (IMM) is a Surrey based not for profit organisation specialising in running intergenerational music therapy projects training workshops and events. It looks to advance wellbeing and social cohesion through musical creativity and bringing people together across generations including those living with dementia. The design of each workshop programme will be bespoke responding to identified local needs but weekly intergenerational activities may include: Music Therapy group sessions Choir singing Music and movement sessions Musical improvisation Song writing/composing workshops performance / celebration events and Specialist health and music workshops.
