The funding will support a mentoring project for young people aged up to 24 years old. The activity will target primarily disadvantaged young people impacted by gangs crime violence and challenges around school and education. Project Access will offer short 6 week interventions for young people in the form of mentoring workshops or educational services specific to each individual's needs. Each participant will be allocated a mentor who will offer IAG short interventions and goal and action planning. The overarching aims of the project are to provide short term mentoring/interventions for 40 young people; prevent crime; provide young people with a greater range of opportunities for learning and development; support young people facing challenges in their lives and enable young people to feel more connected to community services and access funded services.
