The funding will continue and expand upon a programme of activities for families and older people from black and minoritized communities. Previous activities have been delivered to those aged between 8-83. Activities for children and young people have included confidence building and self-awareness workshops healthy nutrition and lifestyle classes mentoring leadership skills well-being activities and academic support during the summer holidays. For older people they run exercise classes nutrition workshops culturally appropriate cooking sessions and counselling/ IAG about issues including poverty benefits and bereavement. Support for older people includes for those who live with health conditions such as diabetes and sickle cell-anemia.
