Sperrin Men's Shed based in Cookstown is using a 6700 grant to purchase and erect a wooden shed so the group can continue to integrate talk plan and meet whenever they want. The project helps reduce isolation and improves mental health whilst bringing some joy to other parts of the community through their work. The shed will complement their current polytunnel and gardening projects to help men talk about issues that affect them while also increasing their knowledge on how to combat depression and low self-esteem.
