This organisation will use the funding to support people with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. A new part-time staff member will be recruited to carry out weekly welfare checks by telephone. Online events will be expanded to ensure that everyone who is experiencing social isolation is able to connect and participate in activities with others. They will also work with partners to plan for resuming essential social and health care as lockdown restrictions are eased.
