This funding will enable the group to adapt the support they provide to people experiencing sickle cell and their families. This project would see their volunteers working from home engaging people via telephone and social media to combat loneliness and isolation and make sure people are looking after their health. Volunteers will also offer more practical support working in line with Government guidelines to collect and deliver groceries and prescriptions and cook and deliver meals.
