Floatation Pool Therapy for People with Disabilities & Learning Difficulties - Prosiect
Trosolwg o'r prosiect
The funding will be used to open a therapeutic floatation pool free of charge for 3 days a week to children and adults in East Sussex who are living with physical and mental disabilities. The floatation pool is the only one of its kind in the large Lewes District and no other organisation offers this type of therapy specifically to people living with disabilities in East Sussex. The pool is used for restricted environmental stimulation therapy (REST) and is in a low-lit room and is filled with a foot of Epsom salt water so that the body floats at zero gravity. The benefits of floatation therapy are far-reaching and especially for beneficiaries with brain injuries and physical disabilities.
