This project will empower older people to identify and address their needs early on, minimising harm and reducing the need for more costly services. It will deliver face-to-face, telephone and hospital befriending services, recruiting 350 volunteers aged 50 plus to support themselves and their peers. People will also be supported to live independently, including household tasks, shopping and transport for things like exercise classes and medical appointments. The group will also purchase a new minibus.
