Pottery Bank Community Centre will use £377,447 to support 1,500 women in the Walker area of Newcastle experiencing poverty by offering training to develop skills and create better opportunities. The project will focus on women who are unemployed, are lone parents and may have mental health issues. It will provide training, volunteering, employment training based around growing food at an allotment, cooking, eating healthily, running a community cafe, training in IT, literacy, numeracy.
