This new project aims to provide a social and entertainment club for lonely and isolated older people on low incomes aged over 60. It is styled as a 1940Â’s afternoon tea with entertainment in the form of cabaret acts, an MC, a pianist, vintage costumes, crockery and decorations. It is a place for conversation, solidarity and camaraderie for those who might otherwise stay at home alone. Beneficiaries can put on shows singing, playing instruments and comedy. Free transport is provided to those less mobile.
