Salford City Council's play portfolio will provide new play provision in areas of the city and to groups of children where a lack of free, accessible and freely chosen play has been noted. Another aim of the portfolio and strategy is to build an infrastructure which will enable the development of new - and enhancement of existing - play provision. The portfolio of projects will benefit 2,830 children and young people in the most deprived areas of the borough and those with most barriers to play.
