This project will respond directly to the mental health needs of women experiencing violence. This is in response to the British Crime survey that shows that there are 190,000 incidents of sexual assaults annually. The Home Office states that side effects of violence include injury, STDs, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and panic attacks, drug misuse and suicide. The project will provide counselling, group work, and body therapy services at centres across London.
