Lancashire County Council will use funding to build a new day visitor centre at Tower Wood Outdoor Education Centre, Windermere. This will cater for users with special education needs and other day visitors who face barriers to participation. New facilities will include an entrance lobby, toilets and cloakrooms, teaching area, seminar room, IT suite, kitchen facilities and a storeroom. 2,500 users from schools and 800 from the wider community will enjoy sailing and other outdoor activities.
