Special Olympics Ulster will develop physical activity clubs for people with a learning disability in 10 locations throughout Northern Ireland. The grant will be used to cover the salary of a project manager who will set up the clubs over a two-year period. Volunteer coaches and general volunteers will be appropriately trained and supported to run the clubs and special events. It is anticipated that 500 athletes and 61 volunteers will benefit from the project.
