This project will provide peer support to newly spinal cord injured (SCI) people. It will help them adjust to life after paralysis, overcome social isolation and live independently. The project also offers support to families. A national bank of volunteers will be trained to respond to the needs of beneficiaries, while support and training will be provided to non-specialist health care professionals. The project will also produce information packs to beneficiaries and health care professionals.
