This project aims to address the poor health of young people in deprived areas of Acton. Most young people in the area come from families with poor diets due to low incomes, poorly equipped kitchens and overworked, often single parents. Acitivities will include a weekly gardening club to teach practical skills in growing food, cooking sessions teaching about nutrition and food hygiene, and seasonal events for the young people will be responsible for catering, such as a barn dance or winter gathering.
