This Heywood organisation will use the funding to women within the black and minority ethnic (BME) community in Greater Manchester to develop an education pack covering issues such as domestic abuse, rejection of newborn girls and false expectations around arrange marriages and disseminate the packs at 5 awareness raising events. This will enable awareness of the issues facing BME women to be raised, encouraging them to speak about them and empowering them to tackle their problems.
