The Project will work in partnership with local schools and the community to run 2 projects to mark the bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade. They will create a community show commemorating the achievements of early African campaigners which will explore the roots of musical instruments and styles. They will also research the history of Easton Lodge and the trading links during the 18th century and the slave trade which will culminate in a community exhibition.
