SUMMIT aims to improve people's lives by empowering them to take back control, restore their self-belief, self-reliance, and self-worth. The project manages, provides and facilitates a range of services and works in partnership with other organisations, serving the learning disabled community and adults with mental illness. Services at SUMMIT include a 10-week Mindfulness session, a correspondence clinic, which assists people to read and respond to written communications, and an advocacy drop-in. The funding will be used to cover staff costs and general project running costs.
