The funding is for a programme of workshops aimed at using food, healthy eating, and cooking as a means of improving local people's wellbeing and life skills. Many of those who are set to benefit from the project are at risk of isolation ' young carers, looked after children, or people with mental health issues or learning difficulties or both. Community luncheons and cooking clubs ' designed to help engage potentially lonely older people ' will also be on offer.
