This funding will be used to tackle loneliness by building friendships, creating a sense of community and helping people feel more connected to their local area. There will be regular volunteering sessions at nature reserve sites and activities such as bat walks, moth nights and bird watching events. This will bring people together to enjoy nature and learn new skills. Training will also be funded on management skills, tool use, first aid, health and safety and risk assessments.
