Financial inclusion

The project supports people who are struggling financially to improve their financial well-being and increase their money management skills, helping to improve their financial resilience for the longer term. It also includes some support to help people move towards work or training.

Opportunity and Change - A pathway to work

Multiple and complex needs

A support programme for people with multiple and complex needs, typically those who are facing at least two difficulties including homelessness or who being vulnerably housed, misuse of substances, mental health issues, domestic abuse, offending or a history of offending. The aim is to support people achieve stability, resolve their complex needs and become socially and economically included through access to education, training and employment. Each person will be allocated a locally based ‘Navigator’ and receive tailored support with a range of needs including accommodation, mental healthcare and education.

Towards Work

Towards Work is a personalised service giving support with the first vital steps towards gaining employment. Support is person-centred, tailored particularly for those most at risk of social exclusion including people out of work or economically inactive, people aged over 50, young people not in education, employment or training, and women returning to work or who have never worked.

For those in need of additional provisions, partners in the project have specialist support on BAME organisations, mental health and disability specialists. Having enrolled on to the programme Towards Work, successful participants will secure employment, access education or training and become economically active. Continued in-work services for those who find employment improve the chances of job retention.
