Man Health - Project

Project overview

The project will set up a network of peer support groups for men with depression in County Durham. The weekly groups will be run by men with personal experience of depression who will receive training as peer supporters. Groups will give men opportunities to build friendships, share experiences, reduce stigma and offer support on how to deal with issues surrounding depression. The project will work with local higher education providers to allow counselling students to offer counselling.
