Using horse riding and horse care training in the Daventry area as an alternative pathway to education, New Routes have been supporting children with National Lottery Fund help.

With referrals taken throughout the year, the course gives young people the chance to address issues and challenges they have been facing in both their education and in a non-threatening way.

National Lottery funding has allowed us to offer horse riding sessions, paid for a support worker, helped in terms of staffing and making sure the children have the right equipment like warm waterproofs, safety boots and riding hats.
