Include Duchenne - Project

Project overview

This new national project seeks to improve the basic reading, spelling and numeracy skills of boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and will develop their self-esteem and communication skills. The project will employ a specialist teacher and two other part-time professionals to assess and teach 60 children with DMD. These staff will assess each child and recommend a tailored intervention programme.
