Project overview

This project, based in Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire, aims to help older and/or disabled/mentally ill people to be less isolated and more independent by matching them with volunteers who befriend and encourage them to be more active and become part of the community. The project also allows volunteers to benefit by being able to access free training and development opportunities, which can in turn improve job opportunities.
