To celebrate International Youth Day, The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of youth activity in the UK, hosted an online live event in front of an audience of voluntary community organisations from across the country to explore how they can harness the power of youth voice.
Charities and community groups across the UK have received £300 million in funding since the COVID-19 crisis and lockdown began* – all thanks to National Lottery players.
An advisory panel of young people is just one of the ways in which The National Lottery Community Fund is building upon its commitment to further embed youth voice - both in its own work and across the wider sector – the organisation announced today.
Please be reassured that we will continue to honour our current commitments and will continue to be flexible with existing grants. However, COVID-19 will be our priority.
We are accelerating our distribution of £300m of National Lottery funding in the next six months in order to get money to where it needs to be during the COVID-19 outbreak.
