The National Lottery Community Fund has an exciting opportunity for people that are passionate about making a positive difference for communities in Wales. We are looking for up to 2 people to join our Wales Committee.

As the largest funder of community activity in the UK, we make grants from National Lottery Good Causes money, that are distributed to communities across Wales.

About the role

The Wales Committee helps to shape the strategic direction of The National Lottery Community Fund in Wales. The primary role for Committee members is to use their knowledge and strategic thinking to help provide the direction for The National Lottery Community Fund in Wales, make decisions on applications to our grantmaking committees, and be an ambassador for the Fund.

This is an exciting time to join the Fund’s Wales Committee. This opportunity comes 2 years into our strategy, It starts with community, which will take us through to 2030. Wales Committee Members joining at this exciting time will be responsible for overseeing delivery of our work in Wales, when growth in returns to good causes is expected, alongside the Fund’s ongoing dormant assets work.

Our Wales Committee brings together a broad base of knowledge, skills and experience that reflect the diversity of the communities that we fund and serve, and in this case we are seeking up to 2 new members one of who must be a fluent welsh speaker. The most important thing is that applicants are passionate about making Wales a better place for everyone.

We are seeking someone who will bring a broad range of knowledge, skills and lived and learned experience in particular with experience of working within the public or private sectors and a passion for making Wales a better place for everyone.

Information

This is a non executive role requiring a time commitment of around 2 days per month although this may vary from month to month. The role is remunerated at a rate of £5232 per annum.
