Our people
We are the National Lottery Community Fund. We distribute money raised by National Lottery players to support communities across the UK.
Our work is led by a Board, which sets our long-term strategy, agrees key policies, and ensures we are run effectively and efficiently. The Board delegates the day-to-day running of the organisation to our Chief Executive and Senior Management Team, who deliver the strategy and oversee our operations.
We organise our work into 5 funding portfolios – covering England, Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and UK-wide programmes. Each portfolio has its own committee that decides on major grants, shapes local funding priorities, and ensures our funding reaches the communities that need it most.
Across the UK, our local teams work directly with communities – helping to develop ideas, create opportunities, and bring people together.
