You may wish to contact your local elected politicians, your MP, MSP, MLA or MS to update them on the funding you have secured from The National Lottery Community Fund in relation to the Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

You can use our template letter

We have created a template letter with instructions and guidance to help you do this. If you are not sure who your local political stakeholders are, you can find out by entering the postcode of your project or the community event you are holding here.

Key things to remember when you are writing are:

• Tell them the amount of funding you have received thanks to players of the National Lottery.
• Describe the positive impact your project or community event will have in your local community.
• Ask if they would be interested in visiting the project or event to find out more.
