This project provides holistic support to people who are unemployed or economically inactive, with a specific focus on those whose complex needs put them most at risk of social exclusion. A range of support is on offer to boost wellbeing and job skills, run by experts and people who have experienced being unemployed themselves. The project matches skilled candidates to suitable vacancies and provides on-the-job training. Employers can benefit from a range of training, and advice on promoting health and wellbeing in their existing workforce.
Doing Good Business helps unemployed individuals develop the skills for work and self – employment as social entrepreneurs. Tailored support, coaching and training from experienced professionals will help those taking part to build upon and extend their strengths. The project is open to those aged over 25, and encourages involvement from people with disabilities, women, people from BAME backgrounds and older people.
