Tea Parties, Exhibitions, Street Parties, Re-enacments - Project
Project overview
Thurrock Council for Voluntary Service will use their award to hold several activities to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of World War Two. Tea Parties, exhibitions, street parties and re-enactments will take place and involve the whole community. At these events, people will be interviewing and recording the memories and experiences of people who were alive during the war. This information will then be presented on a CD Rom and made available to local schools and community groups.
