The Old Post Regeneration Association will use their award to carry out several activities to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. A booklet will be produced of veterans memories and experiences of the war. Themed lunches will bring together school children and older residents. A World War Two Christmas Celebration party will be open to the local community, with a mining exhibition on display at all events.
