Project overview
This group will use their award to undertake a project commemorating the end of the Second World War. The aims of the project will be to bring evacuees and veterans together to share past experiences and to create learning opportunities for children. The project involves a theatre production about what it was like to be an evacuee; a celebration event where senior citizens will come together to share memories and experiences; and an exhibition about the Merchant Navy entitled 'Cruel Sea'.
