Care for Carers: empowering parents of disabled children in Nepal - Project
Project overview
The project will support 500 carers of children with cerebral palsy in Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley and 20 rural districts of the country. Careers will be organised to form support groups and a carers association to engage with government and support carers' rights. Doctors and counsellors will be trained on carers physical and mental health needs. The projects will also establish community caring centres, staffed and managed by trained carers.
