They will receive £25,000 to transform an abandoned one acre site in Shoeburyness into a productive community garden. It provides activities like gardening, building work, landscaping, cooking, crafts and community events. The project will support adults with mental health problems, learning disabilities, people living with dementia, children, young people and school groups. It will be more accessible through the improvement of paths and a wider range of activities.
