The grant will enable Horses Helping People to develop the care farm to include horse driving and harness work, with a trail and vegetable garden. Local volunteers, homeless and veterans will create and tend to the garden, create the track and train the horses. The aim is to enable people to learn new skills and team-working, helping with progression to paid work. The tranquillity of the natural environment and horses provide a sense of calm and wellbeing for the disadvantaged children and adults who visit.
