The project will open up a disused public footpath situated in the Forest of Dean, aiming to reconnect the rural villages of Blakeney and Soudley. The land is a public footpath which is currently unusable and blocked due to neglect and overgrowth. The resurfacing of the route will be designed to accommodate wheelchairs and pushchairs. By reopening the footpath the villages will be able to share resources such as local shops, doctors, post office and a village pub.
