In the Punjab district of Pakistan, women, children and religious minorities are denied their rights. Domestic violence, honour killings, and religious hatred killings are viewed to be socially acceptable and current legislation, including the Hadood Ordinance, the Blasphemy Act and Constitutional amendments against Ahmadis (a sect of Islam) institutionalises discrimination.
