'Flatmates' - preventing the homelessness of disadvantaged people
'Flatmates' - preventing the homelessness of disadvantaged people - Project
Project overview
The project will prevent homelessness and promote the financial and social inclusion of 150 single homeless/potentially homeless people living in West Lothian, by enabling them to set up a secure, economical and sustainable private-rented tenancy with other suitable flatmates. It will match clients to a property and 'sharer', facilitate sessions between prospective tenants, provide support in establishing a tenancy and the skills required to share and provide mediation and advice where needed.
