Development of a Primary Education Model for Urban working Children in Colu
Development of a Primary Education Model for Urban working Children in Colu - Project
Project overview
Three million children work in Colombia, 75 per cent of these never attend school. Cali has one of the highest concentrations of child workers. Most are Afro-Colombian and are displaced by conflict. They live in single mother families and siblings often have different fathers. Few adult family members have completed primary school and illiteracy is common. High levels of poverty make income generation a priority.
