The project will provide short assisted trips away for frail housebound older people and their carers. Many of the people supported by this project are vulnerable and isolated in the community and don't have many opportunities to leave the house. It will give them the chance to attain a degree of independence and to improve their physical and mental health. The project will also focus on increasing the pool of volunteers and training them to work with specific client groups.
