Yei County in Southern Sudan has been severely affected by decades of civil war and major military attacks. A generation has grown up never knowing peace. Many people fled to other countries as refugees whilst others remained in Sudan as internally displaced people. Infrastructure and basic services, especially education, has been devastated and hundreds of thousands of children have been denied the right to an education.
