This three year project will build on the success of a recent pilot project to increase the ability of young people to be involved in local decision making processes. It will develop the existing Children's Parliament in the Western Isles to the Southern Isles. 500 young people aged 11 - 16 will benefit from a range of arts-based activities and sessions. In particular, 20 young people who were involved in the pilot project will act as project advisors and peer educators. The grant will fund salary costs.
